Checker, also known as Draughts, is a two-player strategy board game played on an 8x8 checkered board. Each player starts with 12 pieces placed on the dark squares of the three rows closest to them. The goal is to capture all of the opponent's pieces or block them from making a move. Players move their pieces diagonally forward, and can capture opponent pieces by jumping over them. When a piece reaches the farthest row, it is "kinged" and can move both forward and backward. The game requires strategic planning, foresight, and quick thinking.
